The Wingman Foundation Announces Campaign to Support Fallen Blue Angel

For those that are unfamiliar with this tragic news, Blue Angel Pilot and Marine Corps Captain Jeff "Kooch" Kuss was killed last Thursday while preparing for an upcoming air show in Tennessee.

In the wake of this tragedy, The Wingman Foundation is now accepting donations for its Captain Jeff "Kooch" Kuss Memorial Fund.

It may have otherwise gone unnoticed, had it not been the fact that a little four-year old girl was surging past her competition in a race at the local track.

It may have otherwise gone unnoticed, had it not be the fact that a lanky, thin framed girl blew past other varsity track competitors with ease.

Imagine you are deployed. It seems like forever since you have last been home. All you want is some 'normal' food. Maybe a good movie to watch? Ice Cream? Anything but this dirt and heat!

So when you write back home to ask for a few nice things to show up in your next care package - what would you ask for? 

For First Lieutenant Joe Theinert, the answer was obvious: art supplies and soccer balls. 

That is, for the Afghan kids he saw every day.

Reflections of Memorial Day - the 7th Annual Cocktails for Courage Gala

Last Friday, I had the distinguished honor and pleasure to represent Dog Tag Brewing Foundation at the 7th Annual Cocktails for Courage Gala. Cocktails for Courage is an annual event in support of the Captain Kyle R. Van De Giesen Memorial Fund hosted by Kyle's family, including his wife, Megan, mother, Ruthie, sister, Caitlin and close friend, Katie.
