Captain Kyle Van De Giesen, a decorated helicopter pilot, lived his life according to the Marine Corps values of honor, courage, commitment, and sacrifice. Following his death, Kyle’s wife, Megan, along with family and friends, established The Captain Kyle R. Van De Giesen Memorial Award Fund to carry on Kyle’s legacy by supporting individuals, charities, and causes that embody those same core values.

Founded in 2010, the KRV Fund has distributed over $100,000 to initiatives in the North Attleboro community. Projects include establishing the Captain Kyle R. Van De Giesen Outdoor Leadership Center – a climbing/ropes challenge course – with the local YMCA, area youth sports programs, and numerous annual high school scholarships.

Dog Tag Legacy Fund is proud to support the KRV Fund by providing grant funds to create a website and awareness campaign, and to support fundraising efforts that have already raised 500% more than the initial Legacy Grant.
