Nick was an avid Duke basketball fan and Ohio State football fan. He also had a love for his country that was cultivated through stories and history told to him while he was a little boy sitting on his grandfather’s knee. Among his mortar platoon buddies, he had many nicknames: Little Nick, Baby Gibbs, Li’l Ray, and Giblet. To honor Nick’s legacy, his family has chosen to support Carolina Patriot Rovers.
