Pete Lilly currently works in the corporate strategy group at Emerson Electric, where he interacts regularly with executive management to research, develop, and communicate the company’s strategic initiatives and growth imperatives. He is also the team lead for analyzing the business impacts of macroeconomic events, indicators, and forecasts.
Before joining Emerson, Pete served in the US Marines for 8.5 years. After designation as a Naval Aviator, Pete flew UH-1Y “Huey” helicopters, and was fortunate to work as an instructor pilot, mission planner, maintenance division manager, and aviation simulation development and procurement officer. He planned, led, and flew numerous combat, allied training, and humanitarian relief sorties while serving overseas in Afghanistan, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Korea.
Pete is a graduate of the Marine Corps’ Weapons and Tactics School, earned a BA in Economics from Dartmouth where he was also a walk-on co-captain of the varsity lacrosse team, and most recently earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Pete and his wife, Julia, live in St. Louis with their two young children.
