Along with Ben’s military career he was a firefighter and an EMT with the Hope Hose Humane Fire Company #1 in Bordentown City, NJ. Even when he was on leave, Ben would volunteer his time at the firehouse taking calls and serving the community. He was a true patriot who loved his country. He believed in what he was fighting for – our freedom and our way of life. A true hero in life and soldier in death.

To honor Ben's legacy, his family started the Benjamin Moore Memorial Trust with the Hope Hose Humane Co #1, the same fire department that Ben was proudly a part of. Dog Tag Legacy Fund is proud to be working with this Gold Star Family to support and enhance the legacy of SPC Benjamin G. Moore.
