During his lifetime, LtCol Mario “Sugar Bear” Carazo dedicated himself to helping others. A Cobra helicopter pilot and squadron leader, Mario was selfless in his encouragement, support, personal guidance, and sound advice. To honor his legacy and continue his commitment to serving others, Mario’s wife, Jen, established the Sugar Bear Foundation to support the surviving spouses and children of fallen U.S. military personnel by providing assistance and supporting programs to meet their immediate and ongoing need and to foster their personal, emotional, and social well-being.
